Llanllwchaearn Community Council celebrates after receiving £58,693 in National Lottery funding

 Bro Hafan Play Area based in Cross Inn, Llandysul, Ceredigion is celebrating today after being awarded £58,693 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK.Llanllwchae arn Community Council will use their funding to create a new park for the community which will be accessible to all. We hope that the new play area will provide children with a safe and enjoyable play environment.

 National Lottery players raise over £30 million a week for good causes across the UK. The National Lottery Community Fund distributes a share of this to projects to support people and communities to prosper and thrive. 

Sioned Davies, Community Council Clerk and Councillor Meleri Richards who lead the project said: “Thanks to National Lottery players, this grant means that we can provide children with a safe and enjoyable play environment. This will make a big difference to people’s lives.”

 During the pandemic, in 2020 alone, The National Lottery Community Fund distributed almost £1 billion to charities and community organisations across the UK

Llanllwchaearn Community Council intends to apply for a grant through the National Lottery Community Fund to refurbish Bro Hafan Park, Cross Inn.

We are seeking suggestions or ideas that families within the community have on how to improve the park, what you would want to see in the new park and also the importance of having a community park in the village.

To celebrate St David's Day 2022, Llanllwchaearn Community Council has purchased a new Red Dragon flag for Bro Hafan, Cross Inn. This is the flag raised by Councillors Gareth Ioan and Silyn Roberts.
